Our bicycles
What is a shaft drive?
A drive shaft is a low maintenance drive that drives the bicycle by means of a propeller shaft.
What is a belt drive?
The belt drive is a low maintenance drive with a belt instead of a chain. The belt is lighter than a chain and therefore a belt driven bicycle runs very smoothly.
What is the correct way of shifting gears?
When you want to shift you’ve to reduce the pressure on the pedals. In addition, you should always shift one gear at a time. If you don’t shift this way there is a chance that your hub gets damaged.
Choosing a bicycle
I want to see the bike first and try it out. Is this possible?
Together with our dealers, we want to make our Brik bikes available for a test run, technical questions and service. On the dealer page, you will find the nearest dealer in and outside of the Netherlands.
What frame size do I need?
For the right frame size you can follow these general guidelines:
- Persons taller than 1.63m (5.35ft) need a 56 frame.
- Persons taller than 1.66m (5.45ft) need a 59 frame.
- Persons taller than 1.90m (6.23ft) should choose a 65 frame.
Of course, you can adjust your saddle in height. Please keep in mind that these lengths and sizes are for general body measurements. To be sure, please visit a dealer near you for advice.
What is the difference between the lines
We offer three lines (standard, comfort en premium) to make it easier to create your ideal bike. In all cases, the standard version has 3 gears, comfort 7 and premium 8. The standard version also has a coaster brake while the comfort and premium versions are equipped with roller brakes. Often, premium also has integrated lights and lock, and other grips, saddle, and tires.
Do you want fewer gears but still have built-in lights? That’s possible! Then choose the standard or comfort line and add the integrated lights to your order. Still, finding it difficult? Then contact us or visit your nearest (premium) dealer.
Can I really choose any colour I want?
You bet! For a fixed price you can choose from our sixteen selected colours. But for an extra charge, you can choose any RAL colour. RAL is a European coding system to define colours of paint and other coatings. The colour palette can be found on www.ralkleur.nl.

Shipping
I ordered a bike. How long is the delivery time?
When your order has been comfrimed the proces will start. Your Brikbike will first be powder coated and after that assembled. Your Brikbike is a ”built to order” bicycle and that is why our dilevery time is on average 16 to 20 weeks.
Here, we will take it for a test drive to check the bike one last time and then we send the bike to the specified address (this can also be a dealer). Depending on the address (the Netherlands or abroad) this will take about 1 to 5 working days.
Do you ship abroad, too?
Definitely! We ship to the whole of Europe for a fixed fee. Outside Europe shipment is on request. If the shipping address is outside of Europe, please contact us for the up to date shipping rate.
After sales
Does my Brikbike come with a warranty?
Of course, a purchase at Brik offers a guarantee. All the information about the warranty can be found on our warranty page.
