There was a time when products were built for generations of use. A cupboard your grandfather bought was still standing strong when you put your first books in it. A bicycle was not a fashion item, but a faithful companion in rain, wind and sunshine. Solid, robust, made for life.

Then something changed. Manufacturers began to compete more and more in shiny features, extra buttons and parts that broke quickly. A race to become cheaper and more fleeting. And where did the quality go? Less and less.

At Brikbikes, we decided to break that cycle. We started with the most vulnerable part: the chain. Dirty, prone to rust and always in need of maintenance.

We replaced it with the shaftdrive – a silent force that lasts for thousands of kilometres without a second thought. This set the tone: not more features, but more reliability.

All our models are developed with the same principle in mind: a bicycle that does not demand attention, but gives you its full attention. Always ready for use, day in, day out. A Dutch bicycle that makes no compromises, but promises to do what a bicycle was originally intended to do: take you anywhere, reliably, quietly and strongly.
